Check out this rather striking paragraph from Matt Yglesias, who’s clearly not buying the Fayyad magic. He’s come a long way since this. He even made the case for Abdallah Abu Rahme, pleading with the “Progressive Except Palestine” community to pay attention and stop calling for the omnipresent Palestinian Ghandis.

This photo was taken at the municipality in the village of Jayyous in July 2010. Much of Jayyous’ land was confiscated by Israel, and Israel requires farmers to obtain permits to tend to their own crops (which obviously are sparsely granted)
